Be Your Own Idol

Life seems so turbulent and brimming with imperfections at times, it is hard to focus on the positive aspects. Unfortunately, most of us see those imperfections reflected in our own personalities and physical aspects. This is a surefire way of society influencing us to believe that we have an abundance of flaws that need to be worked on to arrive at an ideal state. This makes us turn towards other people to find our idols so we have a standard version to look up to and follow to be a better version of ourselves. But what we often do not acknowledge or pay attention to is the fact that we can be our very own idols instead of turning towards others to fix our supposed imperfections.

The Dark Corners:

If you constantly look at your failures like they are a block of weight pulling you down they will continuously instill darkness in you. They will bring you down and ensure that you stay that way so that you can remain knocked down and unable to get back up. This gives rise to the dark corners inside your mind that inevitably will make you feel as though you are a perpetual failure who can do absolutely no good. It does not have to stay that way as long as you know your own worth and play on your strengths instead of just utilizing your brain to consider the failures.

You Can Be Your Own Idol:

You do not have to turn to anyone else no matter how smart and capable they are or even if they bathe in wads of money every single day. You are just as capable and have the potential to be so much more than you think. The first step is to stop doubting yourself. Believe in yourself and your ability to keep climbing the ladder because as you keep progressing you will continue to have more faith in yourself. Tell yourself that the idol that you want to look up to is the version of you in at least 10 years. That way you will be working towards something far greater than you have at this point. It will be a continuous journey where you will simply climb the rungs of the ladder of success and even if you get knocked down a few steps it is all right because you need to get to a point where you feel like you can look up to yourself. If success through a stabilized career is what you are looking for we have the perfect answer for you.
